MOMMAMOTORMOUTH
Mommamotormouth here, or Karen and my family knows me by. I was born in the small mining town of Elliot Lake, in northern Ontario. I have an older brother, Pete, and a younger half-sister, Lynn, and half-brother, John. When I was about 2 years old my Mother moved us to Hamilton, ON. I grew up in Hamilton, met Nile in Hamilton, and got married there. I guess you can say that is my home town. I must say that life with him has been interesting. He has gone from being an apprentice mechanic, to a licensed technician, to radio talk show host.
For 8 years, I helped him in our repair shop. I was everything from Secretary, to Apprentice Mechanic to Janitor. Ask me about the 3 days I spent under the hood of a electrical fire victim some time. Of coarse I was only there part-time (8:00 a.m. to whenever 5 days a week). The rest of my time was spent at home doing the other wifely duties.
I have spent the last 10 years getting up every Saturday morning, anywhere between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., depending on where we were living at the time, and making the trek to Buffalo, NY. That is where WDCX is. Once there, I help Nile by answering the phones and taking down the information from the people that call in.
Nile and I have moved so many times in our 17 years of marriage, that, our families refer to us as the Gypsies. Some day we might settle down, but moving does keep life interesting ( and you can’t hang on to a lot of stuff!!!!!!)
We have no children, being self-employed for so many years, we spent all our time in the business, no time for kids. I guess you can say that Axel and her sister Missy (or Dinky as Nile refers to her) are our children.
