Welcome aboard The Car Connection Business Network website!
And our first official Car Connection Newsletter!
MommaMotormouth (Karen) and Motormouth (Nile), We would like to take this opportunity to officially introduce you to our Brand New web site! We would like to use this first news letter to give everyone a formal introduction to our web site. First and foremost Karen and I would like to thank our Lord and Savior for giving us the strength and courage to reach out and serve others. Without His strength and Vision for Car Connection we would have given up years ago! That’s why we adopted the saying “when the going gets tough, Eat more donuts ” We would also like to take a moment to thank all of our Radio listeners, family and friends for their Prayers and encouraging words over the last ten years. At times those encouraging words were just what we needed to hear in order to “keep on keeping on. Especially on those 3am commutes from Kitchener to the radio station WDCX in Buffalo NY. Some of the weather conditions we had to drive through to get to the station were at times not very nice! Fog as thick as my dads oatmeal, and I swear it was thick enough to stop a bullet! Often we made the trek to the station finding ourselves to be quite often the only vehicle on the road! Many times our family members would give us a call the night before if it was storming to find out if we were heading out for the radio station in the morning. Often there would be a silence on the other end of the phone line when we told them of course! You could just tell what they were thinking on the other end of that phone line, you have got to be nuts! They were right, that’s why we never went for a walk in the forest, because there was probably a good chance we would both get picked up by a squirrel!
Needless to say if it wasn’t for Car Connection we would have missed many opportunities for some pretty awesome friendships to develop over the years. We have had a lot of fun with our listener’s the last ten years and we look forward to serving you even more the next ten years Lord willing! I would like to take you behind the scenes of The Car Connection Business Network web site. There is a lot more to our web site from behind the scenes than you may think! Putting together a network of quality businesses in Canada as well as the USA may sound to you like an easy task. Let me tell you this, it takes time energy and money to get a project of this size rolling! And the right people to get the things done that I myself have absolutely no idea how to do! Aligning yourself over the years with the right individuals has proven to be a true asset .Before I go into further details it just wouldn’t be like me not to tell you a story. I never thought for a moment that I would need to develop typing skills, after all my life’s ambition was to be a mechanic not a receptionist! At least that is what I said to my grade 9 typing teacher as she was lecturing me for poor attendance for about the tenth time that month! I felt the need to remind her that typing was for girls! So with that comment came a lot more homework! In turn costing me quite a bit of money to have Dianne type out for me! Like an echo in my mind today I can hear my typing teacher saying. MR Jenkins you will need this skill someday! You’ll see! Guess who is getting the last laugh today, she is! Pay back’s are a terrible thing especially if you are on the receiving end of it! So, where am I going with this! In reference to my typing story I have found out the hard way just how important typing has become in my life.
• Lets take a few moments to talk about “maintenance” not just vehicle maintenance, but taking the necessary time to maintain all aspects of life, vehicles, home, health, finances etc. Although the Automotive field is very near and dear to my heart, I have discovered over the years that aligning yourself with the best of the best in their field can be a tremendous advantage to have while living and working on this rock we call earth! Am I the only one who has noticed that doing business with someone you have been referred to turns out to be a much more pleasant experience than the trial and error method! Since you can say to the person you have been sent to,” by the way so and so told me to come here” and that you would take good care of me! They also said that you were the best at what you do! WOW what a compliment to have to live up to! I love going to a business where I already have a contact name and I know someone who has been doing business there for some time! This feeling certainly puts me at ease allowing me to focus on getting the task at hand accomplished while removing a lot of the fear of being taken advantage of. I am very nervous about dealing with a total stranger! You see, by using the referral method of doing business, the business owner stands to loose 2 or more customers if he or she does not take good care of you! It’s what I like to call a win’ win situation, all they have to do is look after you and they have gained a brand new customer! It’s called” word of mouth” advertising and can be a very powerful way of doing business. “Word of mouth” is the foundation of our Car Connection Business Network web site. We will continuously be seeking only those businesses that we feel are the best of the best businesses in they’re field. And that they indicate to us that they take pride in what they do for a living and truly value each and every customer that walks through they’re door! Each business must pass our screening process in order to qualify as one of our recommended businesses. I am not just going to put my name on any old business! I have had my share of not getting my monies worth over the years! How about you! So as you can see the task of building The Car Connection Business Network web site is quite an undertaking. We are looking forward to serving you in a bigger and better way over and above the Car Connection automotive call in radio program heard each week on WDCX 99.5 FM. As our web site grows you will begin to see more and more businesses out side of the automotive field joining with us to serve you! As they say from soup to nuts! We believe that with your help we can and will achieve our goal of having a network of businesses that stand out from the crowd and deserve to be recognized for they’re accomplishments in regard to outstanding service! I have given up working for someone else to dedicate my time to building this web site for all of you who like me appreciate rock solid businesses to work with. Those who have built they’re reputation on honesty, quality and integrity.
